How to Play
Baccarat is simpler than you think. Here's all you need to know to get started.
Cards 2–9 = face value. 10, J, Q, K = zero (0). Ace = 1. If the total of two cards exceeds 9, only the second digit counts (e.g. 7+8=15, counted as 5).
Both Banker and Player receive 2 cards each. The goal is to get as close to 9 as possible. Either side may receive a third card according to fixed drawing rules.
If either side is dealt a total of 8 or 9 from their first two cards, it is called a "Natural". The round ends immediately and the side with the higher Natural wins.
The Player draws a third card if their first two cards total 0–5. Player stands on 6 or 7. These rules are automatic and cannot be changed by the player.
More complex: depends on the Banker's total AND the Player's third card value. Banker stands on 7, 8, 9. The third card rule only applies when the Player does not draw a Natural.
When the Banker wins and you placed a Banker bet, a 5% commission is deducted from your winnings. This is because the Banker has a lower house edge — the casino "balances" this with a small commission.
